I decided to choose this course for Uni and was wondering if there's anyone out there who has done Software Eng with Masters in Biomed? If so, how was it? Curious if the combination was any good or is it difficult to connect the two? What kinds of things are you able to do/make specializing in software, biomed-wise. Thanks in advance!

If there was no link between the two, the program wouldn't be offered. There is a significant link and note that your thesis is I think quite different. If I recall correctly, 3 semesters of thesis which is related to both fields.
