I don't understand how people get jobs with ColesMyer... they just ignore you!

I've been through their application process (online testing etc.) for Christmas Casual the past two years without being accepted or rejected (you progress so far and then don't hear any more) and recently got an email telling me they were still "processing my application" for a casual sales position... whatever that means.

Coles Myer are scum for replies. I think I received one, similar to Jumpman's above recently, but that was after 3 months of waiting for a reply.

Woolworths also took some time, but they replied within a month, which was alot better. Even if it was the same basic crap message.

Some recruitment agencies, I noticed are also like Coles Myer in terms of response, if you don't call them / nag them like a mental patient, they will never reply.

On a side note, some recruitment agencies are cool, and get back to you asap. E.g. One of them got back to me, within hours, another within a week with work available.

So basically, when all else fails, let them find you a job, in most cases, even with there cut, you still get more, than if you applied to a casual job yourself.

yeah they're mostly fooling around with us. if we start a petition i bet we'd overload with ppl willing to sign it, probably including ppl already on the job, but i suppose they're doing things legally, being a big company, so what can we do.

Yeah coles-meyer new app process sucks - dont worry the stoer managers agree with you.

I got hired before they introduced it,rocked up to lacal bi-lo, spoke tpo manager, he gave me paerwork, i filled it out and returned it the next day, he allocated me a department and asked me to start two days later. So all up the process took total 4 days including applying.

I never did an induction though lol.

Thats a surprise cos I have had my application up since last December and nothing happened so I stopped updating/renewing it every 90 days :D

Upon doing that...

Sorry, there are no vacant events available for the location you selected.
