Hi guys, I've just watched this movie lately and been wondering whether it is good for supp text... or not...

and

IF... it is a good movie, then does anyone know what 'D: It's written' in the end mean? I am really in doubt whether it just means that he won the show because it is written by the director or he won because it is written (destiny).

It is actually a pretty well-known movie.

And I believe it actually won quite a few of oscars.
no way mate, trust me

barely anyone has ever heard of that movie

i wanted to use it in my school

but the teacher said that i couldn't because no one had ever heard of it

i would really discourage you from using it

it is written as in fate/destiny dude!

it's like.. saying that

everything is predetermined, or for example; life is written before life takes place.

if that makes any sense at all.

slumdog's an awesome text;
if you can analyse it easily then go for it :)
if you cant relate much back to the concept of belonging, then try find another suited text that is easier

enjoy :)

how do you intend on relating it to belonging, exactly?
i've recently seen it and don't see an obvious link.

Avoid popular culture texts... has connotations of 'i was lazy so i just picked the movie i recently watched' not that im saying that you chose this text under that pretence but unless you are able to completely smash it in terms of analysing and relating it back to belonging then DO NOT go for slumdog millionaire

QFT for the same reason as David. Do not go for popular culture texts (mainly the cliche texts).
