Ive just started physics and i was just wondering how v=frequency x wavelength is turned into f=1/t

v = f * lambda can be written as f = v/lambda or 1/f = lambda/v which is equal to distance/velocity = time t. 1/f = t, therefore f = 1/t.

oh i c!!! ...like in that triangle thingy, where distance over velocity=time and velocity.time=distance...thanks so much!

It's all in the units. Watch how they cancel.

Period is in seconds. Frequency in Hertz (Which is s^-1)

:. t * f = 1
f = 1/t
