hey,
I was wondering if i should take Japanese in Year 10 through OHS, and if that's possible at all, because I haven't studied it in Year 9.
Would they expect you to know all the year 9 stuff? or could they start you on beginners stuff? or should i try to learn a little this year on my own and then do a beginners course for HSC?

All answers appreciated =)
thanks xx

As long as you haven't studied the language formally, you can do Beginners course. I myself, just started it, and so far it's just learing greetings, hiragana and katakana. You don't need any knowledge for the beginners course, so I say, go for it :)
