Should I take any notice of the Big W online job availability list? (1 Viewer)

I went asked one of the ladies how to get a job at Big W, she said that I needed to go online and search for an available job and apply, something which I had already done, there were no jobs then and there were no jobs now.

The thing is I'm fairly certain there are jobs available, they're just not listing them I've heard a few things and also I'm taking into account that I've been looking for a long time and have only seen positions available for trainees.

So I'm thinking they just don't list all the jobs they have available on the Big W careers website.

What should my next move be?

They usually recruit people around August (just before Christmas) or after August, I don't think they'll look for new people now, unless you know someone who works there who could let you pass through the group interview

yeah, i think they try to stick with what they have. and look for a whole bunch of new people during the "just before christmas" period. costs money to interview, induct etc.. if they look for 1 person at a time.
