Christians are the most “persecuted” religious group in proportion to their numbers. If you weren't surprised in the same way Muslims happen to be the 2nd most prosecuted religious group and face harassment and discrimination in 131 countries.
In how many coutnries are muslims imprisoned or executed for practicing their religion?

The 'persecution" faced by muslims is utterly trivial compared to that which they perpetrate.

Why are you trying to make it into a competition of whose prosecuted the most? Any religious or ethnic group that is prosecuted should be deeply condemned. I see a Muslim being prosecuted in Myanmar, in the same way I see a Bahai being prosecuted in Iran and in the same way I see a Christian Copt being prosecuted in Egypt.

Christians are persecuted by muslims, but muslims such as yourself never mention this and instead focus on the comparatively trivial problems faced by muslims. If muslims don't condemn or even acknowledge the persecution they're responsible for, why the fuck do they expect us to take them seriously when they complain about their hurt feelings.

At the end of the day we are all Human and we end up being blinded by our hate and xenophobia.
muslims are the most hateful people on the planet. They murder people for disagreeing with them then run around acting oppressed.

You said close the borders:
I'm sure if you were one of those people living half a life, you'd be saying the exact opposite. I'm not dumb, obviously it's economically impossible for countries who take in refugees to be able to support each and every person seeking asylum - but saying alright well this ain't my problem doesn't help either. It's a horrible, messy situation with the only answer being peace, and the journey towards it will be long and arduous but that doesn't mean there is nothing we can do in the mean time, however major or minor those actions may be.
Immigration cannot fix the problems experienced by people. It will simply make our countries as bad as theirs.

We should not be expected to do a single thing to help anyone until they agree to pass population control legislation.

Mate I could not care less about the moral superiority of Christianity.
You were trying to make christians look bad by pointing 'bad' things they do, and I was demonstrating that your example actually makes christians look better than muslims; the opposite of what you were trying to acomplish.

Both religions preach peace and love, and both religions preach bigotry (sexism, homophobia, racism, you name it).
It was illegal to be gay in western countries not 40 years ago which isn't a very long time IMO, and the fact that we still don't have marriage equality in Australia proves to me that all countries are capable of bigot government policies supported by, what, 42%? That's not far off from 51% unfortunately.[/quote]

Are you fucking kidding me? Australians are bigoted for not supporting gay marriage?

By that logic, muslims are super dooper extra fucking bigoted considering that 30/50 muslim countries imprison and execute homosexuals. Again, you're inadvertently proving that muslims are worse.

And how about sexism? Let's have a little looksie shall we:

Calm your farm - you think being a bigot is any better than being a racist?
muslims are literally the most bigoted people on the planet

also, nice job ignoring where you were flat-out wrong about the crusades

No, some 'muslims' murder people for disagreeing with their misguided beliefs leading to many muslims who correctly follow Islam to become oppressed.

How about we go condemning Brazilian and Venezuela tribal communities for their punishments as well?

There's something called cultural relativism which is basically the concept that no one can judge other values due to cultures as it's different. Additionally by adopting one single culture or value system , it's saying that one is superior and everything else cannot be accepted.

If they want to live in our countries then yes, we're absolutely going to judge their behavior by our standards.

By your logic though, no action can be considered 'good' or 'bad', therefore muslims should stfu about 'islamaphobia'.

Obviously people will judge by our standards.

There are overlaps in cultures so there can be a "good" or "bad" (relativism covers this), but acts pertaining to individual aspects of one or another's cultures where there is no overlap... Nope.

Don't generalize all Muslims or Muslim majority countries, there a certainly a lot of them who hold xenophobic views against Christians and other religious groups. I will give you an example.

From the beginnings of the Ottoman Empire and all the way till the end of World War 1, Armenians residing in Anatolia were being heavily prosecuted against and were constantly facing massacres because they happened to be all Christians, which eventually culminated into the Armenian Genocide. Thousand of Armenians during the centuries of Ottoman rule, fled to Iran another Muslim country where they were welcomed weigh open arms and were accepted and assimilated by Iranian society.

Now Iran has a big Armenian that numbers at least as high as 500,000 and they are free to worship in their Churches and go about the daily business. I have been to an Armenian church in Esfahan a city in central Iran and had huge sympathy for their community.

Even this year which marked the 100th anniversary of the Armenian genocide the Iranian government freely allowed the Armenian community to do marches, commemorations and protest in front of the Turkish Embassy even Iranian Muslims joined them in support.

They are officially given 5 seats in the Iranian Parliament and many of them fought and died in the Iran-Iraq War. Just because one Muslim country is horrible and xenophobic doesn't mean another one is.
Iran IS a horrible country though

Helping resettle and giving rights to a prosecuted non-Muslim ethno-religious group in their own country, makes Iran a horrible country?
Uhhh, no, its a horrible country because its execute people for homosexuality, blasphemy and adultery (by women), among other things.

No country in the Arab world/Persian Gulf gives a shit about the Shia obviously except Iran. Bahrain has a Shia majority but is ruled and oppressed by the non-native Sunni minority, basically apartheid. All the oil that Saudi Arabia makes big money out of comes from the Eastern region of the country where Shias are the majority there. They don't get any of that oil money that's comes from their land and on top of that brutal prosecution.
Yet you said muslim countries are sooooo open minded about religion right.

The only reason they don't care about christians that much because they aren't a political threat and there's only a minority of them.

As Saddam said to Tariq Aziz "You're a christian, you're a threat to no one but yourself'.

Ok, so, let's review what we're learning so far about the Paris attackers:

Two of them owned a bar. One was a regular hashish user. Another never prayed in the mosque and grew up in a life of petty crimes and a series of girlfriends. None of them studied the Islamic tradition. Disenfranchised, isolated, ignorant. (And before people start saying that this is what the media says, realize that most of this information is being relayed from family and friends).

Oh, and of course: they intentionally left a fake Syrian passport at the scene of the crime so as to make it even more difficult for innocent Syrian refugees to find asylum in Europe.

And these are the people leading the 'jihad' to free Muslim lands?!?

Yup, fits the bill perfectly actually. In all cases, the stereotype of a 'radical terrorist' is exactly as above.

Why is it that only such people are recruited by the extremists? Because they have absolutely nothing to begin with. No knowledge. No intelligence. No education. No life. Because if they had *any* of these characteristics to begin with, they would know how utterly vile and counterproductive such actions are.

Already, dozens of Islamophobic attacks have been reported across the Western world. Many countries and states have announced plans to stop any more asylum seekers from entering their lands. Mosques have been burned or vandalized. More attacks against Muslim lands have already been launched, and no doubt others will continue to follow. And the mood in many circles becomes even more irrational as it spires maddeningly closer to calls for total surveillance, or curtailing of religious rights, or mass expulsion, or perhaps even genocide of all Muslims.

Truly, as our Prophet (salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said of such groups: their speech is beautiful, yet their actions are ugly, they quote the Quran, yet have absolutely no understanding of it, and those whom they fight in the name of Islam (ie., the majority of the Muslim world!) are closer to Islam than they are.

That's a lie. Most terrorists are actually university educated people and from pretty well off backgrounds.

Did you see what you initially posted? You were first ranting and complaining about Christian prosecution which you "dearly care about", and I gave you an example of how Iran has helped resettle and given rights to Armenians while the Ottomans another Muslim empire were massacring them.

When I told you how Iran treated the Armenians and told you of how they are being well treated and respected, you replied by saying Iran is a horrible country?? You don't make any fuckin sense SylviaB.

Now you lose your argument by bringing up issues which were not relevant to the previous post which I replied to where you claim of Christian prosecution.

Why can't you reply to me back on that issue instead of changing the topic?? I want a response.
You said that Iran isn't a horrible country when that is objectively false.

The fact that one country at one time protected christians does not change the fact that christians are persecuted in most muslim countries, and 99% of muslims have no problem with it.

Oh fuck off you little crybaby. Muslims have got it fucking easy. Muslims persecute the fuck out of christians but muslims are more upset about this stupid shit. Wahh, curtailing of religious rights! Let's just ignore the numerous muslim countries where christians can be literally killed or imprisoned for practicing their religion.

Muslims in europe rape thousands and thousands of european women and girls and target them for being non-muslims and being not covered. Where are you fuckign tears about that?

Muhammad was a warlord who fucked children. The fact that you and 1.6 billion other people view him as a source of moral insight says everything that needs to be said about the character of muslims.

There you have it. SylviaB challenging the great Yasir Qadhi himself. Truly the next Richard Dawkins in the making.

Stop ignoring the question
To answer your question, you have a nation state which now exists which is more totalitarian and brutal than quite possibly anything we have seen on the face of this earth... It relies on a strict interpretation (I might say strict, but it is an interpretation) of the Quran to justify the oppression of women, rape, the killing of so called "non believers," the killing of those who convert from the religion and the oppression of any other but their own... You have thugs who follow these preaching who are trying to bring Damascus to France...

It's easy to say these people are not "real" Muslim, however, they can probably recite the Quran word for word, they pray like a Muslim, eat like them, etc... The fact is also, that it is a text that is being interpreted in this backward manner...

With attitudes like that they deserve to be killed... A) Singing "Oh Happy Days" after your fellow country men/women have been killed by a collection of thugs is both insensitive to the families of the dead and just generally absurd... B) They are just naive to what is going on around them... RIP Europa... :(

Nuke in Al-Raqqah?
