Hello all! Would something like the film "Up in the Air" be a suitable related text for the novel "The Namesake"?
Thank you in advance :)

Hi, I had a brief look at the synopsis for up in the air and compared that to the namesake, and I personally think the film might not be the best as a related text-because the namesake seems to explore ideas that seem to be a lot more deeper-i.e. family, friendship etc-whilst up in the air sounds like a typical romantic comedy-however, the film is a suitable related text if you can relate its ideas to the namesake effectively and it covers a diverse range of belonging rubric points-you don't exactly want 10 different related texts to cover everything in the rubric, ideally you just want 2, or 3 the max-perhaps consider other related texts that are suggested in this thread http://community.boredofstudies.org/showthread.php?t=228949

so trust your own judgment, if you are confident it is suitable, then it is:)
