For all of those people stressing about the lack of historiographical debates to discuss in section 1, why not use your case study?
I always do; it's easier, less to remember and if you can apply it well and with relevance you can get great marks.

I went really well; the marker's comment in the half-yearly was

"You did well to include your case study in this essay. Comprehensive, detailed with an outstanding use of the case Study to show the changing nature and purpose of history."

The comment for the trial was basically as positive "It was pleasing to see you utilise your case study....Try to merge your Case Study within the context of the article rather than treating it in isolation"

So there you go! I definitely plan to use it for the HSC
