It is possible to get the exact same school assessment mark as someone else at your school. Thus, recieving the exact same rank. Do they both receive the same modulated assessment mark after the HSC or is there another scaling process to differentiate between them?

It is possible and not that unlikely in things like English where there are relatively few marks available to differentiate.

If two people have the exact same rank, they will recieve the same moderated HSC mark for that subject.
