hey


is there anyone out there who could post or send me their notes on this book?.....it would be greatly appreciated

if we post em we can all make our notes more accurate therefore good hsc marks

i did TBP last yr, i cant offer notes, but i can offer some advice.
when you read the book, get post-its and mark out anything that you think may be related to RFTG, no matter how small, or anythign interesting. you should end up with a lot of them sticking out the side of your text.
secondly, read your text more than once. it will really help.

i guess i better read it more than just once as keri hulme says in her preface:

"to those used to one standard, this book may offer a taste passing strange, like the original mouthful of kina roe. Persist. Kina can become a favourite food."

although i didnt read it twice, i should have!
you always end up picking up things when you go over the book again.

i figure kerewin/keri is fairly 'asexual' in that she doesnt appreciate contact much and is still a virgin and happy to be that way. that was on the website but it only comes together for you wen u start reading it.

woweee i like this book.....its so....real? i mean it's fictional but it has this element of reality that pretty much most people can relate to....the introvert in everyone... that word doesnt entirely fit wut i want to say but u get me. jus some times u want pple to piss off just so u can enjoy ur own company for a bit (but not to kerewin's extreme of always wanting time alone)

It was a crap book. It went no where. I learnt nothing. Hurrah, now I can write an essay about how this Lesbian Midget Kiwi is spreading her bolshevism across the planet in a blaze of retreating from the global and the methods used! Hurrah! She condones bashing a child and the author writes about masturbating in a bed right next to a child. AWESOME BOOK! Sickos...
