The documentry Out Of Sight, Out of Mind is a good one. Directed by David Goldie in 1989. It was produced through the ABC...i think. It focuses on NSW prisons.
The novel, The Treatment and The Cure by Peter Kocan is also a goodie. Its about a mental asylum.
