Reccommendation On Texts For Journeys Essay (1 Viewer)

Just recently been given an sythensizing task and i'd like to ask for any reccomendations that i could easily relate to, for these two texts

Peter Scrzynecki's poems:
- crossing the red sea
- migrant hostel

Hoping for something involving:
- escape
- migrants
- a better home, etc.

Preferably from two different types of texts
whether"
- film
- song lyrics
- newspaper/magazine article, etc.

the best place to find related texts on the 'escape' aspect of a journey just find the Travel section from any Syndey Morning Herald newspaper there will b a whole variety of feautre articles...and compare and contrast their positive views with Crossing the Red Sea and its negativity....

as for 'migrants' just search for anything relating to refugee stories such as the Tampa crisis and you can find a pic of a refugee at a detention centre which can show how this is an ironically 'better place' for them and compare it with skrzynecki's Migrant Hostel

the novel Lost Horizon by James Hilton is ideal to compare with Crossing the Red Sea as four people are kidnapped and hijacked to populate a paradise.
