i no this is a real simple question and i no the answer but i wanted 2 no why..
it is said that 2 objects wateva mas they are fall at same time (no air resistance). but wen u lift a heavy object its GPE is greater say at like 2m height than the GPE of a light object at that height (we assuming we r on earth). and as the 2 objects fall the mass with the greater GPE should hav a greater kinetic energy as it falls.. dont that basically mean that it is moving faster???? :S

somethings in physics are not meant to be understood at the school level. somethings u just gotta take as fact and law, like if u learn relativity in year12.

They will have the same speed.
KE=1/2mv2
As the mass is greater, the KE is greater.

Work is directly related to a change in energy. The change in energy is not directly related to velocity, there are other factors like mass, types of energy that are involved.
