Hey everyone. I have a problem with reading graphs where they ask you to colour in or indicate the area in which the tariff is imposed. Like they would show the D/S graph and you would have to indicate where the tariff is at. Or the question will ask you to colour in the area which is affected by the tariff...something like that.

So, can anyone draw a diagram or insert one...briefly explaining how I can read the graph with tariffs imposed? It doesn't even have to be tariff it could be other forms or protection etc. I just need to learn how to read it properly.

Thx everyone.

Gd luck with next weeks exams!

The shaded area would be for anything assosciated with revenue (i.e. taxation revenue TQm)

To find the quantity of imports, it is just the difference between domestic supply and domestic demand
