a liquid in a vessel is allowed to flow out through a tap in the bottom at a rate given by dV/dt=-10(40-t) where v cm^3 is the volume of the liquid in the vessel at time t seconds

initially the vessel contained 8.0 litres of liquid. find the amount of liquid in the vessel after 10 secs...

help... dun noe where to start...

dV/dt=-10(40-t)
V=int. -10(40-t) dt=-10 (40t-t²\2)+c
at t=0, V=8000
.: 8000=c
.: V=-10(40t-t²\2)+8000
at t=10, V=-10(400-50)+8000=4500cm^3
