just got a group assignment and totally stuck on where to begin!

Identify that there are three types of cones, each containing a separate pigment sensitive to either blue, red or green light

need to answer this dot point by wednesday! help!

The mammalian eye has essentially three types of cones. (trichromatic vision as evolved-very common amongst apes that have excellent colour vision).

They contain light-sensitive pigments called photopsins. each one is sensitive to a different coour wavelentght: red, green, blue. By stimulating each cone in different regions of the eye (especially on the fovea) the brian interprets colour vision.
