Quick question ,

I want to enroll in accg323 instead of accg310, thus leaving accg310 till next semester.

But in my last semester (next semester) I need to enroll in accg340, but it has a prerequisite of Accg310.

Question is can I enroll in accg310 and accg340 next semester, or does accg310 need to be completed?

My understanding is if it is a pre req you must have passed the prereq unit before you can undergo your unit

What's the reason behind your decision? My suggestion for you is do both at the same time if you can.. I feel they complement each other.. but as lou said my understanding of pre req is u need to do the prereq unit first before doing the one needing the prereq..

i had friends who did 2 units in 1 semester. 1 unit is prereq of another. but if im not mistaken he failed the pre-req unit the semester before and asked for waiver in order to do both in 1 semester as that was his last semester. so i think you can try a waiver as long as you have the right reason. but IMO your waiver wont be successful. what's the point of having pre-req then if u can do 340 without 310?

Also it is probably a pre req because there is stuff you learn in the unit that you need to know in order to be able to apply it to the other unit. I.e. you can't do 340 if you don't have the knowledge learnt in 310.

Yeah its just that the lecture times for 310 are ugly 8-10pm, so I was thinking of doing 323 instead as it works in my favor.

But you have a point in the fact that i wont have accg310 knowledge to help me go through accg340.
