Ok so I wish to transfer from UWS to Macquarie because it takes 2 hours for me to travel to uni and I get so worn out by the end of the day. So I researched some info and came across this at the Macq site:

Students must apply through UAC. UAC will take into account both their academic record at tertiary level as well as their UAI. For students who have only completed up to six months of tertiary study and seek to reapply through UAC, they will be selected based on the best of their tertiary study or their UAI, whichever is higher.

So does that mean if I do a mid-year transfer they will only take into account either my UAI or what I did in uni. whichever is higher? Is that better than doing a transfer next year?

Also, if I transfer, are my choices in courses limited? For example since I'm doing a Bachelor of Science, do I have to choose a Bachelor of Science subject at Macq, or is it anything goes?

Thanks.

if u apply for mid-year transfer they will only take into account your UAI since UAC wouldnt be able to get ur uni results on time so do apply for transfer at the end of the year.

And your choices in courses arent limited, you can get into whatever course you want in Macq as long as you get the required marks for that specific course
