Ok so well if I choose to do Acturial Studies in the first year and then by the end decide that it's not for me, or has driven me to the brink of insanity and wish to continue in a different area such as Finance, would I be repeating a year?
Just a bit confused on how this works.

no you would not be repeating a year. but you would have wasted 18 cp i think from what i know of acturial subjects.

It's not called wasted I guess
you will still have to do some electives if you single major Finance
until now I am still not sure if MATH1151/MATH1251 can actually replace QMA/QMB if you decide quitting actuarial after doing MATH1151/MATH1251
