Hey everyone just a quick question on the units you can take for year 11. I am wanting to take 12 units then drop to 11 in year 12 (because I have to drop 1 unit photography anyway). Is it like year 12 where a total of 10 units count in comparison to year 11 where all 12 units would count (as 12 is the minimum)...or doesn't it work that way for year 11?? If this is the case then I would have to swap photography for something else which is what I really want to avoid!!!

Thanks :)

In year 12, you must do a least 10 units in order to be eligible for an ATAR, as your ten best units count. In year 11, you must do at least 12 units. But you can totally do 11 for year 12 and you don't need to drop photography. (I hope that sort of answers your question?)

Keep in mind that the for the best 10 units that counts towards your ATAR in year 12, 2 units of English is compulsory in the calculation of that ATAR-and must be included in the 10 units.
