Question about bonus UAI points (1 Viewer)

I was told before the HSC by my carrers teacher that if we go to a local Uni (i.e. Southern Cross Tweed or Griffth Gold Coast, cause I go to Tweed River High) that we get 5 extra UAI points.

Can someone tell me if this is true and if so how do I get them?

There is something similar for the Uni of Wollongong. You apply as normal through UAC. You don't get extra 'UAI points' as the UAI is a ranking. Instead if the cutoff is say 85 and you get a UAI of 80 the uni may accept you.

i know in macquarie there are preferred admission schemes where they provide students with a bonus 5 UAI points for those who have been doing community service within and outside the school. i think only about 2 or 3 people are given it per school
