Puting A NIC into my Labtop (1 Viewer)

I have built a computer before, but i have never seen the inside of my labtop. And i was wondering if it is risky to open it up, and secondly, how to install my own Network Interface Card?

There is no real need to put a NIC into a lab top as generally speaking they come with one anyway.

Do you have an empty nic slot on the side of your laptop? If so, it should slot in with a little push.

If you want another NIC you have to buy a PCMCIA NIC if you have a PCMCIA slot.

should be inbuilt if not get a pcmcia one, or if they are full get a usb --> ethernet dongle.

Don't open up your laptop. The structure within is radically different to a desktop, and the only thing that is user accessible are memory and HDD (CPU on some laptops).

Are you trying to install the card into a mini PCI slot? It's most likely taken up anyway.
