is this a good processor

Intel® Celeron® Processor 900 (1M Cache, 2.20 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)

i only need it to open PDF's, word, itunes... nothing fancy

IMHO, a Tower would be better.

And you only need AVG for a Anti Virus.

i just need a laptop that will last me year 12 and the first few years of university.\

if i buy a tower, i also need to buy a monitor

Sounds good to me if basic stuff is all your going to use it for. No sense getting extra power you aren't going to use.

Laptop also has the advantage of portability - handy at uni and school.

Buy my laptop, 950, 3GB Ram, 9300m G, 2.0Ghz dual core, bajillion games.
