So other than Image Recorder being listed, nothing else is shown?

Try reinstalling Nero, and also if you're using 5.5, perhaps you might want to update to 6.

5 or 5.5?

The Samsung SW-252F is supported from Nero version 5.5.23 onwards.

Samsung would have never shipped a version of Nero that doesn't work with its own burner. Ask your vendor what software should have came with the burner.

I Use NERO 6 (pro? The version that can also burn dvd's)
Its just a few simple clicks under ~"audio" : and it burns nicely.

However, im not a fan of this ; nor recommend it , as the conversion to MP3=>WAV ? Drops the quality even further - where you get messed up bass/trebble or whatever those tones in music are

mp3 is bearable (128kb encoding+) until it gets put on a music cd

WAV to MP3 is a lossy process.

MP3 to WAV is not.

MP3->WAV is a decompression process. You are not compressing it. There is no need to lose data. Loss only occurs when you need to compress/recompress.

It may sound 'worse' for several reasons: the sound system you are using. For starters, Winamp's EQ does not apply to WAV's and CD's, which might make things sound 'worse' and 'bare'.

I dont use Winamp. Let alone touch EQ.

The 'image' thing, had to reinstall 5.5 because of that small problem caused me hours of frustration... =/


Anyway what speed is recommended when burning cds?

And does the quality of a cd matter when burning cds? Does it cause more glitches?
