So I was making notes tonight and got a bit confused with the syllabus...

Students learn about:
groups experiencing health inequities
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
- socioeconomically disadvantaged people
- people in rural and remote areas
- overseas-born people
- the elderly
- people with disabilities

Students learn to:
research and analyse Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and ONE other group experiencing health inequities by investigating:
- the nature and extent of the health inequities
- the sociocultural, socioeconomic and environmental determinants
- the roles of individuals, communities and governments in addressing the health inequities

So do I do a little bit on each of the 6 groups as well as ATSI and one other in detail? or do I just do ATSI and one other in detail?

My notes from class have a little bit on three of them, but my teacher isn't even using a correct syllabus, so I am not really going off any of that stuff.

Thanks in advance :)

Heeeeey, I do PDHPE too..

Definitely need to know all about ATSI's and one other group (I did The Elderly) for the "students learn to" part..

And then for the "students learn about" part, just have a brief sort of knowledge about all six..

I mean its pretty straight forward..

For example, rural and remote people would experience health inequities coz they live in the middle of nowhere, therefore no access to anything, etc etc etc..

You can pretty much bullshit your way through it with a bit of logical thinking

Anyways, hope that helped :)
