Yep, long thread title, you get that.

Anyway, I'm off to Canberra tomorrow night for a forum on Monday about mental health in schools, specifically in regards to how it is addressed in pre-service teacher education. I'm going to chuck a few questions here, and if anyone doing an education course could have a look and respond or PM me with some answers, that'd be great, no worries though if you can't, just thought it'd be interesting to see some other perspectives.

Is mental health awareness part of your degree/course? (what year are you in?)

Have you heard of Response Ability? Mind Matters? What do you know about these? (Moreso Respones Ability than MM). What about other programs and frameworks?

Do you believe mental health and wellbeing are issues in need of coverage in teacher education training, are they sufficiently covered?

Have a nice day.

I'm only a 1st year BT/BA student we did cover a tiny bit of teen suicide and the typical signs in our 1st semester unit. I think there are uints that focus on stuff like children at risk, but it's an option unit i think.
