is it possible for them in crime fiction to make a specific question such as

blar blar blar
refer specfically to the real inspector hound or the big sleep?

or is it just impossible and they will always let us choose our own texts to use
coz i've never seen a trial or past hsc thats specific, but that only makes the possibility of something specific this year a lot higher

umm.... i asked my teacher this and he said it was certainly possible.. but highly unlikely. if they specified there would be like 1/3 of the candidates that would not have a clue as they may not have studied that core. so i wouldnt worry about it personally.. chances are very slim it will occur.

im saying we all have texts that are common
i.e crime fiction
4 texts total
1- big sleep
2- skull beneath
3-snow falling
4-inspector hound

they can say
choose either snow falling or inspector hound

and that ensures u've done the text

yeah.. but how many schools would actually look at all four cores? i know we certainly didnt' and im assuming most other schools wouldnt have.. so as IF they would specify.. unless they were aiming at making half the state fail this exam!

perhaps they MIGHT specify big sleep.. every1 would have done it cause its the only film.. but i doubt it!
