hello

my homepage which is yahoo.com is always turning into a porno site. i used that hijackthis program, and i removed the key that kept changing my homepage, but it kept coming back

what can i do 2 remove it.

1. Stop going to porn sites.
2. Download spybot and ad-aware, they'll do the job.

Then somebody else using the computer is.

These adware/hijackware programs would only install by the user doing something, like visiting sites.

My point exactly, maybe a bro or something (im not sure if you have siblings) could be using it to access porn. Sunny, not to take over but it could have been something filtered in something else you downloaded - possibly from kazaa.

well thats beyond the point atm

it keeps popping up
ive used all the spy utilities and detected something and had them removed, but the fucking website keeps popping up.
but its not a porno this time, fuck its annoying

What is it? There are some very common hijack-wares out there, if you can name it, it will be very obvious what it is.

When you ran Ad-Aware, did you update it before scanning your system? It needs to be updated, just like your anti virus software.

Do you know the name of the search engine it takes you to?

You've definately been hit by an IE worm. I'm suprised Ad-Aware and Hijackthis haven't picked it up - they should have.

hijackthis does, and i remove it, but it just keeps comng backk



thing is, sometimes it changes 2 a different screen, that website
sometimes its porn, other times its what i attached... hate it

u should post at one the adaware forums...u'll actually get help there :)
or just search the forums..most likely someone has had the same problem as u before...

Use spybot that will solve the problem.

I had a similiar problem to this few weeks ago.

Go to windows update and update your IE. If it is already updated then use adaware/spybot. Else, use a virus scanner as well.
