Hey there

since my desk space isnt too big, and to work on the computer i have to move the monitor aroundalot and it limits my desk space ive been thinking of getting a LCD. My current monitor is a 17" philips CRT flatscreen, its cool, just too big.

ive heard a big push for these ones called Polyview on the radio selling 17" and 19" and they didnt sound too expensive thou i havent seen as exact price.

Can anyone give me some info about these LCDs, i did a forum search but some of it still went over my head -.-!

All i basically use it for is movies and general typing etc and msn. But i wouldnt want it blurring etc if im watching movies.

Any ideas? my budgets a bit limited and i see these polyviews are about $330 for a 17" to abuot $450 for a 19"

Basically what are your guys thoughts on them?

THanks in advance.

they are distributed by Protac computers, so i was thinking of giving them a ring, but ive never heard of them either, just been hearing the adds on mix every morning and they have a 3 year warranty so i figure thats good.

Warranty doesnt mean shit if the company doesnt exist in 3 years. That is a trap that alot of ppl have fallen for in many different industry's. I havent heard of them either, if they are a public company post up their annual report.

mmm true, what would you suggest then?
I'm not to sure you could look around at a few computer stores (ones that are listed in the threads here do a search) and price match. You could try ARC and others.
