Is anyone kind enough to analyse this poem for me?

Shame

And some say "Shame" when we're talkin' up

And "Shame" for the way we are

And "Shame" cause we ain't got a big flash house

Or a steady job and a car.

Some call it "Shame" when our kids they die

From colds or from sheer neglect

"Shame" when we live on the river banks

While collectin' our welfare cheques

"Shame" when we're blind from trachoma

"Shame" when we're crippled from blights

But I reckon the worstest shame is yours

You deny us human rights

I presume this is a poem for Aboriginal rights, or at least this is the impression I get from the poetry? Basically it seems to be protesting against the Australian government, which according to this poem denies the Indigenous people of their human rights. This is illustrated as the real shame, opposed to the stigma associated with the Indigenous people for the way they live/end up.

The beginning with a conjunction "and" with the absence of a main clause serves to show the timeless nature of the "Shame". Repetition of "shame" foregrounds this idea in the poem. Neologism / Informal vernacular adds authenticity to the poem. Just my 2c
