Playing DVDs on Computer (1 Viewer)

I got a new standalone LG RH4820W DVD recorder, recorded something off the TV, burned it onto a DVD disk, played it back on on the DVD recorder and worked perfectly. But when I shove it into the computer, a box always pops up in XP saying that it's a blank DVD, rather than a DVD movie, as it does with DVD movies I buy.

Is there anything I can do? I don't know what's wrong.

what software and codecs do you have installed?
