Hey I encountered a question on the 1993 HSC which involved the motion of a prticle on a pendulum swing. I was wondering if this is still on the syllabus, even though you could look at the pendulum swing as circlular motion, this type of motion does not involve uniform angular velocity, which is what is involved with circular motion.

there is nothing in the syllabus which says it *has* be uniform speed, (from my rather poor memory of course). Thus a question with non-uniform speed is perfectly legit, albiet much harder, but completely examinable.

Its the same as, there is no rule for saying there is no resisted projectile motion, just that it hasn't been asked (to my knowledge), but it is very examinable.

And how to do it? I'll think bout it some other day, prefably after seeing the question.
