On the diagram where it marks the section where the crossing over occurs, you swap the bottom letters over. So the first chromatid where the crossing over occurs becomes ABg and the second chromatid where the crossing over occurs becomes a abG. But becomes these pairs were randomly segregated, you swap the chromatids over so it results to a : ABG, abG, ABg, abg,

During meiosis, 4 daughter cells are produced.

In the diagram, you have TWO pairs. When they seperate, you will be left with the four genotypes.

Now, crossing over occurs between ABG and abg. There is a line saying where they cross over, meaning that they switch some of their genetic material.

When that occurs, the LEFT pair will have ABG and abG. The RIGHT pair will have ABg and abg. This is due to the switch, or cross.

Then random segregation occurs and they seperate.

So you are left with the genotypes ABG, abG, ABg and abg.
