This shows American justice system works perfect and does not discriminate rich and poor. If it was australia she will be given suspended sentence and possibly a small fine.

Martha Stewart was never bashed nor raped.

I love how celebrities think they'll get away with everything just because they're famous

In Australia you can do almost anything and get off with a suspended sentence and a small fine.

Maybe you should remember how 'just' your wars are before taking a stab at other nations' justice systems.

Oh say can't you see....

I am sure she'll buy an upgrade...

Upgrade your prison cell, for as little as $100 a day

ANYONE convicted of a crime knows that their debt to society might have to be paid with a spell in jail. But Californians willing to supplement that debt with cash (no personal cheques, please) are finding that the time can be almost bearable.

http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/news...788404964.html

"But people have to be in the know to apply for entry to one of these jail, and even if the court approves the sentence there, jail administrators can still knock back prospective clients.

"I am aware that this is considered to be a five-star Hilton," said Nicole Brockett, 22, who was recently booked into one of the jails in Orange County about 50 kilometres south-east of Los Angeles, and who paid $US82 ($100) a day to complete a 21-day sentence for a drink-driving conviction."

ironic eh/

Will this lead to a special guest starring role on the next season of prison break?

Perhaps a new bondage porn video?

yes.. The American justice system works perfect.

:eek::eek:

How can people as ignorant.. and just as generally as stupid as you.. actually exist in the world?

Of the developed world, the American justice system is the worst. If you knew anything about criminal justice you would know this.

In fact, the USA, which has the highest prison population of the developed world.. standing at 2 million is testament to just how shit house your country actually is. To an ignorant moron like you it would suggest that they are good at detecting criminals. No.

Fred does not like Apples
Fred is a man, as is George.
Therefore George does not like Apples.

And along comes iamsickofyear12 with her PhD in criminal justice to comment on the issue at hand.

With great insight and without simply appealing to disgruntled populist notions of what its *really* like, she spends great time in formulating her responses.

YEHHHHHH I agree, what an outrage the criminal justice system in this country is.. It's kicking the common man while he's down! It's totally outrageous! Lets go call A Current Affair and complain :(

holy shit.. People can do almost anything in this country and get away with a slap on the wrist. I'm really quite vulnerable aren't I? Whats wrong with the justice system in this country.. Why isn't it handing out death sentences summarily?!?! The sweet innocence of this nation is vulnerable! Children can be raped and the criminals are let off!

My country, which has impregnated in it the justice system.. Is letting people off! Even though i have never actually studied anything about the justice system ... i simply *know* that such outrages occur..

How dare criminals be let off by the criminal justice system of my country. The criminals, the dirty, the terrorist Muslims are unethically sucking the bosom of MY country.. MY MOTHER. I'm going to translate my own inferiority and jealously into hate and make comments about something i know nothing about.

In the USA - The police, the justice system, all the way up to the president, are inept and inherently corrupt.

I could of sworn that it said 'Male' next to my gender.

All I said was "In Australia you can do almost anything and get off with a suspended sentence and a small fine".... You are acting like I said we should give the death penalty for everything.

A typical underdog statement which you find on A Current Affairs. Appealing the emotions of the naive and attempting to make people angry at any idea of australia being compassionate.

And i know for a fact that it said female for months, if not years. I don't know why you changed it.

I'm just saying that we let too many people off with a slap on the wrist. I'm not trying to appeal to anyones emotions or make people angry... and I hate a current affair.

I'm pretty sure it has always said male.
