for geography... i forgot the distinction between diomass/litter/soil.... i guess i know soil but which catagory would a tree go into? biomass? and then what would litter be? =Z

does anyone kno? plz help!

the tree produces wood which is a component of bagasse, however the litter wuld be biomass.

Biomass is the sum of everything living and dead, above ground. Litter is generally decaying plant and animal material on the forest floor (I assume you are talking about a rainforest), and soil is the stuff that contains all the decayed matter.

So the tree is in the biomass.
