If the question was to ask express some complex number in mod arg form is it expected that i am meant to write R(cosx + isinx) or can i just go with Rcisx and this question also for like calculations.. like is it acceptable to just write cisx instead of that long thing.. i dont want to be screwed over for these little things..

I've always written Rcis@, and never been marked down. I think it's alright to write that, never been an issue for me.

I don't remember why, but we were always told NEVER to write Rcis(theta). I think it's because they don't mention it in the syllabus, just like Euler's formula.

Thats what i thought.. cause i heard that its not in the syllabus as well or something like that.. but people still use it so thats why i dont know whether its good to use...
