Hi all, I'm thinking of getting Nokia 6233, is it any good?

It has MP3 (with expandable memory), FM radio, camera, Blue Tooth, Infra Red.

I'm willing to spend up to $400 or $30/month.

Thanks :)

Has all the features of the Nokia 6233 you asked except with a 2MP camera, and it only costs $279 upfront, prepaid too.
The only problem (maybe not) is you can't take a picture of a chick without her permission without her hearing the camera click.

Otherwise go for the Sony Ericsson K750i, I have one too !

Just remember, it only comes with a 64MB memory stick, if you are really going to use it to play a fair amount of music, I suggest purchasing a 1GB Memory Stick at DSE for $85, like I did.

6233 is an excellent phone, much better than the k750i as a phone.

The k750i has a better camera, however it has a bad problem of the joystick getting clogged up with dust and becoming hard to use.

about 1/2 a year or so, depends on how clean your pockets are I guess.

people have suggested ways to fix it such as blowing compressed air into it, but the only reall way is to take it apart (which isn't easy).

I will probably go with the 6233, because I've been using Nokia for a long time and I'm feel most comfortable using Nokia phones.

My next question: Is the headphone that comes with the phone like headphone (ie NOT a handfree?) I'll be using the phone at work a lot listening to music and I don't want others to have a feeling that I'm talking on the phone.

Set your phone to Silent and chances are your camera won't make a single sound when you take photos. My old T610 and new Samsung z540 conform to this.
Doesnt work with my D500. It's set to make noise cause of privacy issues.

It is hands free. However, you can buy one of those adapters which converts pop-port to a normal headphone jack and then you can just use regular headphones in it.

Exactly, so I have to cover my speakers with my thumb when taking a pic, regardless whenever I go.
I was taking a picture of plastic models of polymers in my Chemistry class yesterday and I still didn't want the sound of the click to go off, even though the teacher gave me permission to take pictures of them.

I didn't get permission to take pictures of girls and I didn't take any pictures of girls at all, let alone a person.
I was taking pictures of polymers constructed in class and tried to include nobody, so please STFU you exaggerate too much.

What are some places I can get the phone at a cheaper price? I did a search on Ebay and most of them are around $350 - $380
