I just read the 2004 HSC Notes From The Marking Centre and I got a bit curious as I came across the comments for Question 18 that read:
"few candidates provided accurate, up-to-date chemistry as in the oxides of some of the noble gases"
What type of substances do some noble gas oxides produce? Are they just acidic like the rest of the non-metals?

As far as I know, Xenon produces Xenon oxide Xe3O2. I'm not sure what kind of oxide it is, however.

So what requirements must be satisfied for oxides of noble gases to form? Surely they don't form under everyday conditions :p
