so, i'm just curious, for the logic part of the second question:

did she take the blue pill, or did she take the red pill instead?

that "either bails out or becomes terminated" part of the logic is confusing.. also had a hard time remembering whether to use "modus tollens" or "modus ponens" :S

I thought that book of past exams (with solutions) made the discrete exam reasonably straightforward heh.

Have they stopped recycling questions... ? Surely not...

I actually thought discrete wasn't that bad this year compared to some of the previous years questions. It was relatively straightfoward, however that stupid mistake in the paper wasted me like 15 minutes in tryna find the error.

Finite is harder than either first year maths course that I did (MATH1411 and 1081)

shucks.. glad to hear. To what extent does it's status of being a 3unit load affect the difficulty? It's 3 unit.. i was thinking its supposed to be easy :s.

(thinking of BDM and it's 6 unit load)

The number of units load is in no way preportional to the amount of work or difficulty. It mearly defines the contact hours.
