hey all i really do need some help
any help and points will be great
The Task:
“Of the twelve speeches in our selection, Lincoln’s ‘Government of the people, by the people, for the people’ is the best. Lincoln demonstrates total control of his language and awareness of his audience, and the speech is short and to the point. It is an exemplary speech, and the ideals which Lincoln espouses are just as important now as they were in 1863,”
Do you agree with this statement? Write an essay where you argue a particular point of view. In your essay, you must refer to Lincoln’s speech and at least TWO other speeches from the Bored of Studies Booklet.
In your essay, you should consider the distinctive qualities of each speech as a rhetorical text, the ideas each speech explores, and the ways different audiences (including you in 2007) may interpret and respond to each speech.
