ummm i got assessment task for english (ESL) to make a brochure. Wat kind of program is good to make a brochure? i mean ms word, or something else.

if you have it, MS publisher. It's not part of the office suite but if you can get your hands on a copy (say, off the back of a truck) it's very easy to use.

If not... word should work fine ?
