Mo-99 production + chemical equations.. help! (1 Viewer)

ummm... i'm not quite sure if this helps but it's produced by bombarding molybdenum 98 with neutrons( in a nuclear reactor) ...

98 1 99
42 Mo +0 n ---> Mo

according to conquering chemistry it's formed by fission of U-235, but i'm not sure what the other products are..

Ahh the wonders of not doing HSC Chem anymore :D

Oh and I don't think this is examinable in the HSC...
