Anyone else go out last night/early this morning to claim a PS3?

I did, played Resistance FOM and Gran Turismo HD til 3 am and then most of today.

I guess I'm waiting till Home comes out in Sept, then it might feel worth while.

What I dont get is places like Harvey Norman and Domaine making it seem as though they were the ones providing the Casino Royale BRDVD and Gran Turismo HD for free.

I went to EBGamez on Broadway, they weren't selling FF12??

Oh, I'm too poor to buy PS3 now anyway. Probably won't buy it til 13 comes out.

They should've made a big launch party at one place instead of stores doing their own launch here and there. It was a sucessful launch elsewhere in europe and people in London got 46" HDTV and free taxi ride home as well.

But the picture shows why PS 3 is more expensive than in USA/Japan and why they sell low quality P/S 3 (eg software rendered backward compatibility instead of hardware for american/japanese models). Australia is just not the priority and not important for Sony Entertainment. Way too few population, few gamers even City of NY or Tokyo alone is more important for Sony than australia.

Girls aren't stupid enough to spend $1000 on a console. I'll stick to my 360, and eventually buy my Wii.

I was part of the Playstation Network Gaming Community for australia from 2004 to early 2006 (mainly playing Socom 1 and 2) but the max. no of people playing would probably be 200 at one time.

After socom 3 came out, everyone went to Xbox live or went to play WoW cause of how shit it was.
