I have on coming up on Friday, i have to write up the prac and preform it. The easy part is preforming it, the field of view measuring and 1mm = 1000 microns is easily done, also we get micron grid slides. But i am flat strapped writing it up. Obviously i have the method down, the aim, hypothesis etc etc. But i cant for the life of me get the background info, im not sure what i am supposed to lead into, am i supposed to talk about the roll of blood in the body? The make up of blood? Or go on about the size of blood cells and why they are that size etc etc..

Thank you for the help!

Background info.

What does the literature tell you about the size of red blood cells? How does this compare with what you found? What does the literature say about the importance of red blood cell size (in relation to the role of red blood cells). What are some indications of red blood cell disease (in terms of size; if they're bigger than usual, what is this? If they're smaller than usual, what is this?)
