I'm pretty sure there's a MATHSOC... but is it still in existence or ... ?
Their website is "still Under Construction" lol.

Anyone know?

On a serious note, i'd probably join if there actually were a proper mathsoc with a decent amount of members (assuming we're not automatically part of it by doing maths).

If you really are keen on reviving Mathsoc, you should go and see Jim Franklin about it. I think he has the Mathsoc bank a/c stuff.

Mathsoc doesn't really work as a society as there too few members (especially ones willing to be active) and since most of us are doing combined degrees, our interests are quite different.

Jim franklin is a member on here, maybe he will see this thread? He sounds like a pretty interesting guy judging by the stuff he publishes etc.

edit: Seraphim I think you meant to say that their social activities are quite different from normal people :)

who can you think of that would join a mathsoc? ian doust has cured me of telling corny maths jokes forever after seeing maths dragon.
