I did 2u in the HSC with a result of 81.
Would this be satisfactory for an eco major?

Depends on your major.
Economics/Finc majors with another in arts......
I'm likewise hoping to do a 3u bridging course in the summer once I have finished the junior units.

Calculus, Reading Graphs, Linear Algebra, etc.

You'll be fine with 2U, but it's better to do a bridging course to be safe.

Virtually all the maths you do is going to be statistics. You'll be fine.

If you do the bridging course you become better equipped though.
