same.. let's start with q12 in the question set:

A U C (is a subset of) B U C
U is the union thingy, and ^ is the intersection thingy for now

A ^ C (is a subset of) B ^ C

now they want you to prove that A (is a subset of) B..

im trying to do it, but its confusing...

Isn't it fun?

*Looks for answer*

Take "E" to mean "is an element of"
Take "~" to mean "is not"
Take "<" to mean "is a subset"

Let x E A (1)
so x E A U C (2)
so x E B U C (3)

2 cases:

if x E C
then x E A ^ C (1)
so x E B ^ C (given statement)
so x E B

or x ~E C
and x E B U C (3)
then x E B

so in either case, x E B
so A < B

Who's stricter? I was always under the impression that chinese teachers are always stricter than others..
Actually, I would say that Steele is. J Du dosn't really care about mobiles going off, but Steele does ...
