Mine was last tuesday arvo; the same day and time that RC experienced a power-outage which was fixed just as I left the computing lab.....

*cough* Kevin......give me my copy of MATLAB.....*cough*

Seraphim, do we need to learn MAPLE in addition to MATLAB if doing actu/maths?

I think I read somewhere that you were doing Discrete Maths?
You will use maple in Discrete, but Matlab only if you are plain ACTL. For Maths it will depend on what courses you choose to take.

Only Matlab is required for 1st yr (mainly the comp test and assignment).

You may need to use Maple in 2nd yr maths (eg. Linear Algebra).

For both packages, the help files are invaluable.

You don't need to use Maple for Discete. Writing algorithms in the Maple language is fairly intuitive.
