Hi my major work includes a 'lightbox'. My dad made this out of wood and used Perspex to allow light through (which I believe is fine to use). But he bought a glass light to go inside it, does this matter if you can't see it or is it any form of glass that is not exceptable no matter where it is. Also seeming as my dad made it the lights are a reading lamp thing (sits inside the box with the light) which will go onto a power board, I don't need to have an electrician give me some paper saying it's safe or anything like that do I? Any help on this will be much appreciated :)

No glass is allowed. So I doubt there would be an exception to light bulbs. This is for OHS reasons.

I remember seeing a work at ArtExpress and their work was displayed on an iPad. That contains glass right? lol

I used glass on my DT major work, I've no idea why it'd be any different. Maybe because a large part of DT requires OHS practices?
